Why Did Itachi Uchiha Kill His Clan?
When most people think of the Uchiha clan from Naruto, they either think of their incredible powers or the shocking and tragic way in which they met their end.
It is one of the most debated topics in the Naruto fan community is why did Itachi Uchiha kill his clan. To this day, people are still trying to figure out what drove him to commit such a heinous act. Some say he was forced to do it, while others believe that he had something else up his sleeve.
In this blog post, we’ll take a closer look at the possible reasons why Itachi carried out such a devastating plan and what his motivations may have been. Stay tuned!
Who is Itachi Uchiha?
Itachi Uchiha was an incredibly gifted shinobi who graduated at the top of his class in his academy days. He was warmly greeted by most of the village when he returned home, with only a select few showing their grief over the loss of their beloved clan. Itachi just smiled and nodded to most people during that time, even after he was questioned about what he knew of the incident.
Itachi’s demeanor and way of speaking were markedly different during his time as a shinobi than they were when he was younger. He had always been quite serious, but now there seemed to be something else there – some kind of sadness that only those close to him ever got to see.
After Itachi learned that he would soon be needed to carry out his clan’s destruction, people began to question him about it. His answers were always vague and unsatisfactory. Considering how powerful he was, why didn’t he just defeat his assigned opponent? Why did he have to kill anyone else in the process?
Why Did Itachi Uchiha Kill His Clan?
In Naruto Shippuden episode 386, when Obito and Madara are fighting Minato, they bring up the Uchiha massacre. In the English dub, Madara says that “Itachi killed his clan by himself”. But did he really? In Japanese, it was a bit different. Instead of saying “he killed”, they said “he made to kill” or something similar. Let’s assume Madara is right, and Itachi killed his clan by himself.
Danzo Shimura was the man behind Itachi’s actions. He gave him a mission, one that would seem like an awful crime to others. What Danzo wanted was the destruction of his clan. He didn’t want to take any chances with Uchiha Madara, so he did what was necessary to get rid of him. He wanted Madara dead, and the only way to kill someone who’s already dead is to get his descendant to do it for you.
Itachi had no choice but to obey Danzo Shimura. If he didn’t follow orders, then Konoha would be without a leader, and Itachi was their best candidate. After all, he already had experience in leading the ANBU Root division. He knew how to rule with an iron fist, so to speak.
The idea of being Hokage has never been one Itachi wanted to have. If he said no, then there would be no one to choose from. Itachi felt that he could better serve the village by killing off his clan. His relationship with them was already strained, so there was no need for him to care what they said or did any more. He allowed himself to be manipulated into doing something he never wanted to do just so that Konoha would not go without a leader.
Why Itachi left the letter?
The letter that Itachi left behind, in reality, was not a suicide note. He didn’t write it because he wanted to die; he wrote it because there could be no other way to explain what had happened without saying too much. The whole story about Konoha and the Uchiha clan was something Danzo Shimura kept a secret from the other members of Konoha. If no one else knew about it, then there could be no way for anyone to suspect Danzo was behind Itachi’s actions.
Itachi had no choice but to leave the letter that way, or there would be trouble finding out why he killed his clan. Of all the Uchiha who was killed, not once did Itachi ever show any regret or remorse. Even after killing his own mother, he showed no sorrow in his eyes. He had to have been thinking of Konoha when he slaughtered them because otherwise there would be no way for him to kill his own parents.
What if Itachi didnt killed his Clan?
If Itachi didn’t kill his clan, then there would have been a civil war between them and Konoha. The village of the hidden leaves could not afford another conflict after the third shinobi world war. They needed peace more than anything, so they turned to Itachi for help. He was their only hope at having peace again, but it came at a price he didn’t like paying.
Danzo Shimura is the man behind Itachi’s actions, but there are still fans who think that he should have done something to stop him. They feel that Itachi Uchiha should not have killed his clan for anyone, even if it was for Konoha’s sake. It was a cruel and heartless thing for him to do just because Danzo told him to.
Itachi Uchiha is now one of the most beloved characters in Naruto, but that wasn’t always the case. It took time for people to realize his true character, and now many understand why he did what he had to do. He always put Konoha’s people ahead of his own, even if it meant killing those who were most important to him.
